Do you want to transform your life? Do you long to live in a way that’s more vivid, poignant and meaningful? Are you hungry for authentic connection with others? It’s the key operating systems that run us when we are making dinner, interacting with family or tying our shoes. Are you eager for new friends or a new partner? Perhaps you are ready for some new ways to conduct your life? Sometimes it takes life falling apart for us to become ready to seek a new path. You need courage to let go of what no longer works and that’s where I can help.
Unconditional positive regard is at the center of my practice. My eclectic approach includes Cognitive Therapy, EMDR for trauma processing, Polyvagal Theory, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, inner child work, art therapy and mindfulness practices. I help many clients understand their own particular patterns of self-abandonment so they can become more securely self-attached. I also help people recognize the role of shame and work with cultivating a loving inner parent to wisely care for their own the inner child, inner teen and critical parent/inner critic.
My life coaching work has a slightly different lens allowing me to hear the key promises, offers, requests and declarations that inform our lives and point to new more powerful actions. Ontological Coaching allows me to work with body dispositions as a method for calling forth new ways of being in the world that can help you achieve your goals.
My training and experience in psychotherapy, social work and ontological coaching allows me to work effectively with a broad range of issues and people from many different socioeconomic, cultural and religious backgrounds. I am a skilled empathic listener who will work with you collaboratively and creatively. I am honored to have helped many people create the change they seek in order to cultivate more fulfilling lives.
